Can affirmations really help you change your thoughts and ultimately help you attract good things into your life?
The answer is YES!
Experts agree we think approximately 65,000 thoughts per day! Whew, that’s a lot of thinking. Don’t worry, if you think you’ll forget something….you’ll be thinking those same 65,000 thoughts again tomorrow. That seems to be the way we’re wired. Our conscious mind is busy judging, thinking and creating all the time based on our beliefs about what is or isn’t true for us. Basically, we experience the world based on those thoughts and our beliefs about the nature of reality.
Do you realize what you experience is based on your beliefs and experiences which live deep in the subconscious part of your mind?
Whatever you’re thinking about is reinforced by the powerful subconscious mind, which gives you feedback, proof that what you’re thinking about is true, from the storehouse of memory that sits there. Whatever you’re thinking about is creating a sense or feeling and is attracting to you, more of the same.

For example, let’s pretend you always say to yourself: “There’s never enough money at the end of the month.” (sound familiar?) Sure enough, every month, you’re just a little bit short. The 1st step is to recognize this dis-empowering thought. If you don’t want this to be true, then stop thinking it!!! Remember, the subconscious mind does not judge or make assumptions about anything. It is very simple. Your subconscious mind takes your words, your thoughts literally, and makes them true for you. YIKES! I know. This is powerful stuff.
So, what instructions are you giving your subconscious mind?
Good News: You can change what you’re thinking about and therefore, change the instructions.
Let’s try this instead: “There’s always more than enough money to get things done.”
Now at first, your ego mind may balk at this and say: Well, that’s not true!!!! Watch out! The Ego mind is also your inner skeptic. So if this happens, immediately take a slow deep breath, close your eyes and relax. Take a moment to recall all the wonderful times when you had more than enough money to do what you wanted, to pay all your obligations and maybe even purchase something you really desired for yourself, or go on a trip you planned. Really remember it as if you were really there, enjoying that amazing feeling of freedom and security, and smile. Aha! Now, you’re quieting down that ego mind and sending a powerful message to your subconscious that YES, there is plenty of money and this is a wonderful thing! Your subconscious mind has no choice but to respond to this powerful instruction and make it true.
Remember, the language of your subconscious mind is your imagination! It doesn’t care whether it’s real or just your creativity…it will go to work to create what you’re imagining and what you’re thinking about.
