READY, Re-Set, GO!

WhoooooooAAAAAAA! 2020 was a roller-coaster ride for everyone. Aren’t you glad, we’ve put that chapter behind us? Well….sort of anyway. It’s a nice thought to think that because the calendar year changed, all the weirdness is behind us. Is it really?

With All Change there is Uncertainty, and uncertainty can cause a lot of stress, because none of us really like a lot of change. Change goes against our basic instinct to survive. In fact, most of us like our routines, because it is comfortable.

However, nothing great came out of being comfortable.

The Good News: History has shown humans are resourceful when they are put to the test. Remember, your subconscious mind is unlimited and can locate all sorts of new opportunities when you learn to relax and intend the best outcome, regardless of how outside circumstances may appear.

I like to look at every obstacle as an opportunity to learn, to grow and perhaps try something new, or begin something I’ve always wanted to do, but didn’t have the time, or didn’t feel confident enough to try it.

Changes in your life can be AWESOME, new doors and windows may appear to you that you never even thought of.

Beware, that’s right, BEWARE…of that pesky little personality self, called the EGO. The ego thrives on drama and loves to create fear about anything and everything. Doesn’t mean it’s true. How do you know if the EGO is talking and driving your experience? You are feeling fearful, anxious or lacking energy. It’s that simple.

The EGO thoughts are very negative and typically focused on the past or the future. You’re not powerful there. You are powerful in the present moment as you connect with love, the divine, (whatever that is for you) your inner soul-self, the beauty of nature, gratitude, whatever that means to you.

Re-SET your mind and Intention with steps as outlined in the book: The Power of Intention by Dr. Wayne Dyer. I will list a few of them here.

In order to create the best experience even during outwardly seeming challenging times, you must RE-set your intentions.

Step 1: Know that the world continues to be an abundant and friendly place. When you decide to see the world in this way, you tap into the higher frequencies and your experience will begin to reflect this intention.

Step 2: Affirm that All is Good and Well. You are a magnet for attracting goodness, prosperity, success. Trust and have faith that the Universe is unfolding exactly as it should and this is your opportunity to be open to what is next for you.

Step 3: Embrace the Attitude of “Allowing:” There is a special kind of calm that comes over me when I am in the state of Allowing. It is the opposite of resistance.

Resistance will keep you in the state of struggle. Recognize there are things outside your control whether you like it or not and resistance of anything blocks the flow of creative energy and joy.

“In an attitude of allowing, all resistance in the form of thoughts of negativity or doubt are replaced with simply knowing that you and your Source are one and the same.” The Power of Intention p. 196

Step 4: Choose to let go of old beliefs from your past that are no longer serving you. Be true to yourself and ask yourself, “When did I decide that?” Whenever you find yourself thinking in old ways that bring your energy down. Then say: “I now choose __________, instead.” This is a great way to use affirmations most effectively.

Step 5: Gratitude. Be grateful for everything. Although some things may not be as you would like them to be, or the way they used to be, there are many things to be grateful for. Even the most trying days, or darkest hours are an opportunity for gratitude. As Tony Robbins says, when you’re feeling really low and super frustrated, get excited, you’re about to have a BREAKTHROUGH! Whoo Hooooo!

Like I said in the beginning, humans are extremely resourceful. Sometimes it takes our darkest moments to dig deep into our unlimited resources and pop back out with some new innovation for a GREAT new day and new life.
